13-year-old boy – Zayden Jay found dead after going missing from Fish Hawk home; Body recovered by QRF K9 SAR and a family member
A devastating outcome has been confirmed in the search for 13-year-old Zayden Jay, who was reported missing from his Fish Hawk home on Sunday, April 21. Unfortunately, Zayden was found deceased on Wednesday, April 24.

According to his parents, Christy and Zachary Jay, Zayden was last seen at their residence in the Fish Hawk community on Sunday afternoon. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office had been investigating his disappearance, but clarified that there were no indications of criminal activity involved.

Zayden’s family described him as an excellent student, respectful of rules, and passionate about music. He also leaves behind two younger brothers, Cyson (4) and Ryker (2). The community had come together to search for Zayden, and his family expressed gratitude for the support from family, friends, the Fishhawk community, and volunteer organizations, particularly QRF K9 SAR, who assisted in the recovery efforts.
